Sorry about no new updates or news this week had the Flu Bug hit the House and with two Kids under ten and a sick wife if was not a fun week.
Big Blue Heads to the SteelCity: After lasts weeks game against the 49er's I was very nervous coming into this game. But even with all of the Plaxico B.S.. Gut feeling is they will come into Pittsburgh establish the run get enough big plays out of the offense and win by 3 to 8 points. The are healthier and just a better team at this point. ESPN is making this game to be a preview of the Super Bowl I don't know about that. But if the Giants can start the next stretch of games with a win it will be a good day. Giants 25 Steelers 18
Bills Head to Miami: I normally would worry about a let down. Even though the Dolphins are playing better then last year. The Bill's are just a much better team and I am starting to believe in Trent Edwards more and more. The defense is getting better and they aren't playing against a QB they haven't seen. So I think the Bill's win by two scores. Bills 29 Dolphins 17
Jet's welcome the Chiefs to Jersey: The Jets need to win this game and they will win this. Brett Favre will win this game by himself if he has to that won't happen because the Chiefs stink. The Jets will be able to run the ball and that is all they will need. The Jet's should win by two TD's. Jets 28 Chiefs 10
NHL Preview
Buffalo Sabres: With the signing of Ryan Miller to a long term contract they won't have that to deal
with all year. There Offense should be able to score goals with Roy,Vanek, and Stafford to name a
few. With a steady Jason Pominville and a healthy Tim Connolly they should be able to get back to the
playoffs.
New York Rangers: The Rangers will make the playoffs but the question is can they make a run at the
Stanely Cup. They no longer have Jagr who went back home and Chris Drury being named captain, they
should have more them enough to get into the playoffs.
New York Islanders: Lets see being an Islander fan myself it is going to be a long, long year.
They have a new coach with no NHL coaching expierence, all there stars are considered old by hockey
standards and last but not least the 15 year man is coming off hip surgery. Like I said being in the
Rochester area "Go Amerks" I will jump om the Amerks bandwagon
I predict the Islander will have the #1 pick in the next draft.
Buffalo Sabres win 4th straight: With the Vancouer Canucks to HSBC arena. Thomas is earning his contract this season he scored his league leading 6th goal and had 2 assists. With this 5-2 victory the Sabres are 4-0 thethird time they have started a season with forur straight wins.
DiPietro is back: With there #1 goalie between the pipes and playing a good game they lose anyway 2-0. Their offense is non existant. If they don't improve that it's going to be a long year.
Should the Mets or Yankees go after Manny Ramirez in the off season?????? to be cont......
Joba Chamberlain: Joba was arrested last night in his home state Nebrask for Drunk Driving. He has already apolgized. Thats a good thing, I just hope this is not beginning of an up and down career.
NY Mets: The Met's are looking to get rid of Luis Castillo. Problem is nobody wants a problem player.
![]() | Yankee Stadium: Today is the last home game at the House Ruth built. I had the pleasure of playing at the Stadium when I was in High School. I played there twice, once for the CHSAA Championship and then for Metro Champioship ( we won both 1988). So I will always have sweet spot for the stadium. I wish they weren't taking it down but modern times mean a modern building ,I guess. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out what I am going to do with the Yankees missing the playoffs for the first time in thirteen years. So I say Goodbye to the Greatest Stadium in Sports.
Take a look at Mike Lupicas article in the Daily News.
